Description
Need to replace your MakerBot Replicator 2 ceramic insulation tape? This is exactly what you need.
After time, the ceramic insulation tape on the MakerBot Replicator 2 will tear, become gunked up, or fall off. This can lead to print snags, under-insulation, and wide temperature swings.
Use on a bare heater block reduces energy waste and allows for reliable and consistent heat throughout the extruder head. Plastic carriages will also be protected from radiant heat.
Designed primarily for MakerBot Replicator 2 and the MakerBot Replicator 2x, the insulating tape may work on many other 3D printers that also use a similar heater block.
Our ceramic insulation tape is made of 1/16” thick extreme temperature ceramic with a Kapton tape outer layer. The inward facing ceramic can withstand temperatures up to 2300° Fahrenheit.
Holes are pre-cut for installing on the MakerBot with the hot end assembled to the machine. It’s a perfect fit each time. Get the most out of your printer: replace your ceramic tape regularly.
